What is Human Growth Hormone Deficiency Syndrome?
Human growth hormone is a naturally occurring hormone made in the anterior pituitary of the brain. This hormone is responsible for influencing growth of cells, bones, muscles and organs throughout the body and is possibly linked to the aging process as the levels diminish. Is everyone a candidate?
No. There is a very small minority who may not be able to participate in our hormone replacement therapy program. Our physicians will review your specific health conditions, medical history and lab work to determine if you are a candidate. HGH should not be used if you have any type of cancer, diabetes or hypothyroidism. HGH should not be used if you are pregnant, trying to get pregnant or if you are breast feeding. HGH should not be used if you have an unusual or allergic reaction to somatropin, glycerin, or benzyl alcohol

Why do I need labs?
Labs are drawn between 8 and 8:30 am on the day before any injections are given to ensure safety, minimize potential risks and ensure consistency for the patient. All labs are done at Quest Labs or at our office to ensure consistency and a good price to the patient.

How are the hormones administered?
HGH is given by self-administered injections with the smallest needle available. Natural testosterone can be given orally, transdermally (patch), by gel, or by intra-muscular injection (recommended)
